- Wat Banan Temple
Wat Banan Temple is an incredible temple from 25km to the south of Battambang which is one of the 900 years old temples with great stone carving. It also looks similar to the temples in Siem Riep. If you want to challenge yourself with high climbing, it is a worth exercise. You must climb up over 200 stairs to see the temple. Don’t forget bringing water because it is certainly tired but the view on top is great and worthwhile.

Especially, the paintings with lot of details under the ceiling are very nice.
A lots of monks surround are interesting itself but the activities with the Buddhist monks was fascinating. You will have chance to watch an English class occur full of saffron robed monks, monks washing and cleaning, just their day to day activity. It was so serene and shows how materialistic we have become and yet never seem to be happy as we have to accumulate objects.
