Angkor Thom had been used as capital until 1431 before Phnom Penh became capital after 7 months of siege in the Siamese troops. To enter the ancient city of Angkor Thom which ages 800 years old, people can go through five different gate which is at least 20 meters high. Located in the centre of the ancient temple is Bayon hiding great creativity. With 216 giant faces with enigmatic smiles carved and made of rock, Bayon easily overwhelmed horror sensation for visitors, especially when they look up to 54 towers forming a matrix inside stone temple.
