Kampot province is located in the Southwest of Cambodia, having an eighty kilometres coastal strip with the Gulf of Thailand. The provincial capital is named Kampot and sits near the base of the abundant green Elephant Mountains and the famous Bokor Hill Station.

The most impressive sights in Kampot are the river and surrounding hills, which frame views from the riverside promenade.
Bokor Hill is located 42 km from the provincial town. It was erected by French colonists in 1922 during the reign of King Sisowath. Bokor was a resort location for affluent French colonists who needed a change of atmosphere.
In addition, Prek Tnout is also an ecotourism site that is partially located within Bokor National Park. Prek Tnout features biodiversity of regional and global significance including rare and endangered species. It is 30km west of Kampot Town along National Road 3 and 90km east of Preah Sihanouk province along National Road 4.
Kampot province is a great escape from the larger cities and towns in Cambodia. Located near the ocean, close to Vietnam, you can travel to SihanoukVille and Phnom Penh in a few hours and to Vietnam in only an hour.
