Kampong Phluk Floating Village is a cluster of three villages of stilted houses mounted above the banks of the Tonle Sap, which is located about 16 kilometers to the southeast of Siem Reap. The village contains about 3000 inhabitants, mainly Khmer. The most attractive thing in the floating village is that it is surrounded by flooded mangoes forest and is home to a variety of wildlife including crab-eating macaques.

The only way to access Kampong Phluk is by boat. You will get to the Tonle Sap Lake from the Mad Monkey for 30 minutes and then take a boat trip to Kampong Phluk village for extra 1.5 hours. When you arrive at the floating village, you can visit the restaurants, shops and schools, all of which are moored above the Tonle Sap Lake. Other things to see are to visit the pagoda, meet the local monks, and then board a small oar-boat for a tour to the inundated forest.
