- Sunrise
There are many people waiting for the sunrise of Angkor Wat in the early morning. Go before sunrise as it is both breathtaking and magical to see the sunrise from behind Angkor Wat. It is also cooler than just a few hours later when the sun becomes blistering hot. This is a must do when you are in Angkor Wat! See the colours change right before your eyes and welcome a day of adventure and discovery ahead of you at Angkor Wat. Cambodia travel tours
Walking to the East side of Angkor is also an excellent decision. Believe it or not I was the only person on the other side. To me, this is a great opportunity. When the sun rises it would light up the face of Angkor Wat instead of a shadow on the face from the west side. It was very special. Something that cannot be told by the photos is the sound of nature. Crickets and frogs sounding off are deafening and very pleasant. This was as much a highlight at the scenery.
- Sunset
While in the Angkor Wat region you should definitely make the effort to view the sunset at one of the temples. The Angkor Wat will turn into golden color during the sunset hours which can be high as views and lighting make for awesome pictures. Beautiful carving on stone walls, magnificent ancient work. Many tourists will climb to the highest tier and enjoy great sunset scene from the top.
Be very careful if you are sitting around the staircases and some slightly extended hang-over. Definitely not mistake are permitted when you’re expose yourselves to this situation. It will get even more beautiful as the sun finally peeked over the towers of Angkor Wat. This was a spine-tingling moment to cherish.
