DAY 2: LUANG PRABANG – PAK OU CAVES |
Visit Luang Prabang highlights starting with the former Royal Palace – now the National Museum. Continue to Wat Xiengthong and Wat Mai. In the afternoon, board a sampan upstream the Mekong River to visit Pak Ou Caves, the cave is packed with over 4,000 Buddha icons and is a shrine to the river spirit and Buddha. There are two caves to visit, the lower cave called Tham Ting and the upper cave Tham Theung, both boasting miniature Buddhist figures that are mostly made from wood. DAY 5: CHIANG MAI |
Drive north through the jungle clad hills to Chiang Dao young elephant camp for a gentle bamboo raft ride down the Ping River. Visit Palaung, Akha and Lisu hilltribes and witness a unique cultural adaptation to their surroundings as you continue your journey further into Chiang Dao. DAY 6: CHIANG MAI – YANGON |

DAY 7: YANGON – BAGAN |
Fly to Bagan and take a tour of the fascinating pagoda strewn plains with your tour guide. In the early morning, head out for a tour of Angkor Wat. (Note: Due to low water levels during the dry season, the boat trip is only possible from June to March. However an alternative floating village at Chong Kneas can be arranged instead). DAY 13: SIEM REAP |
Start your day today at Preak Ang Chek and Preak Angchom, two Buddhist shrines in the center of Siem Reap. Next, head to the jungle clad temple of Ta Phrom. From here, head over to Angkor Thom, entering from its East Gate and then visit Bayon Temple as well as the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.
